We are LIVE!

Happy 2022!

With a new year comes new opportunities, and with new opportunities comes more chances to step out in faith! It is for this exact reason that I full on jumped out of my comfort zone, and decided to create an entire website dedicated to tell you about my heart for and my role with The Zambia Project.

Because questions always arise regarding the organization, what I do, and how I got involved, I wanted to create a one-stop-shop to give you all the details!

On this site, you will find:

Information about My Role

On this page, I will tell you all about what I do from my office in Wilmington, NC to assist the organization’s efforts in Zambia and South Africa! Not only that, but here I will tell you a bit more about the mission and impact of The Zambia Project, as well as what it means to actually be a self-funded volunteer, and how you can collaborate and partner with me!

Information About My Journey

It’s almost crazy to say out loud that my journey originally began with a church that met in an elementary school cafeteria… but it is TRUE and amazing! On this page, you can read all about how I found my home church, 828 Church, which eventually led to my relationship with The Zambia Project and some other cute characters (that might just be pictured above 😉)!

A Blog to Keep You Up to Date

In addition to regular email newsletters, I will also be adding posts to my first ever blog! With my life, role, and this organization constantly moving, I want to be sure that you stay up-to-date on everything! Keep checking back here for more posts like this so you can read and ride along with me on this crazy and beautiful journey!

Lastly, but most importantly, I am excited to share resources with you to tell you more about the absolutely incredible organization of The Zambia Project! Not only have they been extremely kind and amazing to me, (making this one of the absolute best jobs I have ever had), but the way that God moves through this non-profit and people is astounding and beyond words! Please make sure to check out their website and social media platforms to learn more about how they are changing lives throughout Western Zambia!

As always, I would love to invite you to celebrate in some praise reports, and join me in believing God for big things with prayer requests!

GIVING TUESDAY - YOU DID IT!

It is with great excitement that I can share that we were able to reach our Giving Tuesday goal of over $5,000 for The Zambia Project and the building of the Children’s Church at Hope Church Mongu! That you to those who supported this amazing cause!

Zambia is the 7th youngest nation of the world, with half of the population of Mongu being under the age of 14. Therefore, if we want to be a relevant church, reaching the next generation, we need a large kids church facility! The new Hope Kids building will include an auditorium, restrooms, Champions Club room for children with special needs, 2 breakaway rooms for toddlers and preschoolers, a kitchen, storeroom, and a teachers' office and prep area!

We are so excited about the future of this project and these amazing world-changers! If you would like to invest further in this project, click here, and choose “Hope Kids Building” from the dropdown.

VILLAGE OF HOPE SPONSORS

Being so involved with the bookkeeping of The Zambia Project, I can tell you how much care this team puts in to stewarding their funding to honor God and the donors so well. We are praying for new sponsors for children in the Village of Hope School and Homes, as there are many children still in need of full and half sponsors. We personally sponsor a child in the VOH School (Kubangu) and a child in the Homes (Nakwambwa), and it is a privilege of a lifetime! The team does an amazing job to connect you with your child with letters, drawings, and regular updates about how they are doing!

If you feel called to sponsor a future world-changer at the Village of Hope, follow this link!

AGAIN, AGAIN…WELL, ALMOST!

As some of you might have heard, Caleb and I were planning to join a small team in traveling to Zambia in January; however, Omicron unfortunately had other ideas! Thank you to those who invested in this journey for Caleb to be able to go; it truly means the world how supportive you all have been to make sure that we could go and go together. It does not seem that a trip will be able to happen for the both of us this year, but rest assured, your generous donations will be saved for the next time that he can go! (Which we are hoping is sooner than later!)

WE ARE MOVING… AGAIN!

We are very excited to be moving from an apartment to a precious house in Wilmington. (All the praise hands for no vertical roommates and having a yard now!) Please pray for smooth transitions, and that we can steward this home well for whatever God calls us to do!
