Happy May to you! I am so excited to update you on all the amazing things that have been happening over the last quarter!

HOPE KIDS BUILDING

We are so excited for the groundbreaking to begin the construction of the Hope Church Kids building in Mongu! Zambia is the 7th youngest nation of the world, with half of the population of Mongu being under the age of 14. Therefore, if we want to be a relevant church, reaching the next generation, we need a large kids church facility!

HOPE FM

We are so excited that the fully Christian radio station, started by the amazing team in Mongu, is up and running! Hope FM reaches across Western Zambia, broadcasting so others may live. Its vision is to see "life-giving" churches within walking distance of every village in Western Zambia. This program reaches thousands across Western Zambia!

828 CHURCH TRIP

We are so excited for the 10+ people from the 828 Church community and family that will be going to Southern Africa is late July. We hosted our first meeting on 10 April to train everyone on fundraising efforts, and generally prepare their hearts for what is to come!

ARC CONFERENCE

We had the amazing opportunity to join the 828 Church staff team at the 2022 ARC Conference in Charleston, SC! ARC is the Association of Related Churches, and the conference was the perfect opportunity to be encouraged by some of the greatest preachers and pastors in the world, and gain new ideas to bring back, not only for 828, but also for my role with The Zambia Project!

SCOTLAND

Caleb and I were able to adventure around Scotland with our amazing friends (and incredibly generous donors), Sara & Devin, for a much needed vacation and Sabbath! After a rocky start with missing a flight, we finally made it to Inverness and traveled to Isle of Skye after a quick stop at Loch Ness. (We didn’t see Nessie, but we did see suspicious bubbles, so that is like the same thing, right?) After that, we took a day trip through Fort William, on our way to the cutest bed & breakfast in Callander. We then spend the last few days in one of my favorite cities in the world, Edinburgh, and got to experience the amazing history and vibrancy of this place! It was truly an incredible time meeting the kindest people, eating delicious food (including haggis- google it!), and experiencing the amazing culture of a beautiful country!
